In The Style of @manlymanton

Don’t let people tell you, “you have so much talent.”  Tell them, “I worked damn hard for this. practice leads to ‘talent’.”

When demoing a tool to artists, don’t show them all the bells and whistles.  Take the least amount of time to show them exactly what it does.

Keep backups of your backups of your backups.

Take that leap, don’t doubt yourself.  Big rewards don’t come to those who play it safe.

If you have 10 minutes of free time, don’t waste it, use it wisely.

Take initiative.  Learn new things, don’t stay in your comfort zone.  Those who look, will find.

Never be unprepared for a meeting, your goal should be to be more prepared than the people you are meeting with.

Don’t expect others to push you along, if you aren’t the guy pushing others, then your behind.

Don’t think being able to draw the style of “blahigty blah” will hold up when you try to create your own drawings.

You can’t hide things in your work, it jumps out at other people instantly.

Manage your time, you can’t spend all your time working.  Don’t take on projects that overfill your plate.  You need some “you” time.

Your work will become your portfolio.
